Problem w wss files (sound)
« on: 14 Feb 2004, 10:33:42 »
OK, I have been working on creating a sound mod.I have sounds, finally, and I have been adding them to OFP, thanks to Satchels sound mod I have been able to change his around with my own.Although, dont get me worng but I have been trying to get a hold of him lately and now I get the mailer demon and cant ask him for permission to make different sounds using his CONFIG method. So I am trying to get the wss files to do it now.Well to make this short, I have 2 types of m16 sounds, single and bursts.I use the wsscod from Avon. One file makes it through and codes to 1kb.Now the other sound is converted to like 2 to 5 mbs.I am converting from wave.Am I supposed to convert to ogg then to wave then to wss? What gives?

You should try looking about first.

Try here anyway:

There is a utility by Don Miguel that might help you.

The utility I posted about in my above post converts from wss to wav and vica versa.

Plus other options too.

Ok I just tried this program myself.

I converted a wav to wss..........and............the resulting wss file is placed in the same folder the wav file is in.
