Multiple Questions?
« on: 25 Feb 2004, 23:53:56 »
I have some multiple questions to ask.

1. Is it possible to set instead of using the waypoints a marker or a triger to be as a waypoint. You know like in some games instead of using the waypoints system like the OPF one they use as drones that the AI follows them. I also use them for the games i am creating. (If you are wondered what games i am creating see this web site www.geocities.com/Mproduction243 ). And this trigers the AI will follow a random waypoint trigger to get anywhere. Can this be added?

2. Can you do soemthing like this? There are lots of vehicles around you. And now you want a AI to enter in one. But now the AI will choose a random vehicle and it will enter in it. Can this be made?

3. Is there a script for realistic bus carring? You know the AI civilians will wait in that bus waiting thing and when a bus comes they will enter in it and exit the next station. Can this be made?

4. The last question for today.  8)
How can i set the AI to be with the time? For example: Now it is 10:00. A AI has to go to Morton with helicopter in 10:10. Now how to make the AI wait on a waypoint untill 10:10 has comed? I know there are like time out but i don't know to work with it very good.

Thnx

BTW: If you have any script can you ive me the link directly to the file because when i try to download something from this place i can't download it because my computer is crap. This week i will change it to a better one.  :P

All the answers are already on the forum.  Try running a search.

1) Yes.  Use the Move , DoMove , CommandMove  commands.  Research them, the command referance will explain their use.

2) Yes.  Using random numbers and a short script.  Read the command referance to tell you how to get a unit to getin a vehicle with a script.

3) Yes.  I'm sure Ive seen one already.  If not you could read some tutorials on the website and easily make one yourself.

4) There's a tutorial on WPs in the editors depot.  Using WP conditions in conjunction with the Time command and you'll get results you want.  Read the command referance for infomation on how to use flashpoint commands.
