two questions & an idea

I've got a couple questions on an idea running through my head.  Thing is that I've never done an addon or a mod before so I'm not sure what works and what doesn't.

Is it possible to take the resistance sniper, change his stats in his config file to match those of the western sniper, change his side so as to have one on each of the three sides and customize the weapons he carries and add it back into the game as an addon?

More helpful next time Armsty?  Head on over to the Editor's Depot, then look around there.  Check the tutorials until you find what your looking for.  If you need help, post a thread on the board pertaining to your question, most likely Addon Editing.
