How to setup "covering fire"?
« on: 10 Feb 2004, 17:23:48 »
Good evening to you all!  :D

Has anyone ideas, how to perform "covering fire"?
I'm making SP mission, were certain small squad (4 to 5 men) should shoot some
covering fire, but i don't no how to do it.  ???

Idea is, that few men shoot time to time short bursts with their guns to the attack direction
whether or not, is there any enemies on their sight.

I found somekind of ideas (Spinor, Tai Mai Shu) in this excellent forum, but I could'nt get them work. ..and using some extented targets (crawlingthingy, bushes etc) is out of question.

This "covering fire" - thing is should be perform by triggers and scrips. :P

Please wise people, help me out   ;)

There is an invisible target addon somewhere.   Put that where you want and use doTarget and doFire spells on your loons.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Macguba,

That is interesting point of view. I'll try to found that addon.
If it really is fully invisible and transparent, it will do the "trick".

Thank you man!  :D
