How do I get a message to come from Firefly like BIS did in the A10 mission?

Hmm  :hmm: I had a monkey around with the BIS A10 mission and it seems that the message from Firefly actually comes from PAPA_BEAR.

I tried that but couldn't figure out the init.sqs stuff, I kept getting error messages. I'll give it a miss now and come back to it once I've had a little rest methinks. I'm :beat:

If you want that they use like November One, then on the init field of unit type this setgroupid ["November","groupcolor1"]

No, I now how to do that. Take a look at the link which was provided up there  . In that you'll see that in order to have Firefly as a snder you need to do something with the init.sqs file. I don't know what the init.sqs file does or what I need to put in it or anything.

The init.sqs file is created in your mission directory! The purpose of the init file is to load all information from this file before mission ends. So create the init.sqs file in your mission folder, open it with notepad, and type in anything you want.

and if you want that firefly loads up, then in the init.sqs  type
firefly = [West, "airbase"]
and then when you want to you can use
firefly sidechat "Your radio message"
or if you are using random sounds, then use
firefly sideradio "your sound file here"

u dont even have to define that stuff

in ur trigger just type [West, "Firefly"] sidechat "your message"

thats all u gotta do

iv used in in plenty of my missions, but unfortunatly i nevr uploaded them 2 OFPEC

Yes! Byt defining them into the init.sqs you havent to do it each time when you want to use the firefly!
