how to light fires?

hey im new to editing missions and i cannot work out how to get roops to light fires.help would be appreciated.cheers.

unitname action ["light fire"]

Put that to a trigger activation field or into a script. :)

Not guaranteed, though.  :-\

Try this...

On the activation field of the campfire type fire1 inflame true. Fire1 is the name you can give to that object.

hi i have got another question, I am trying to get the fire to light when an enemy soldier runs past it, i no i need some form of trigger but i dont know where to look,im trying to make a mission like the end of Platoon so they have to be liike trip flares.cheers.

Put a trigger near the fire (name : fire1) and link it (F2) to the enemy soldier ; in the trigger you'll have: "activation : vehicle", "present", "on activation : fire1 inflame true" (Note: make a little trigger (x and y)).

 8) DONE !
