Streetlights

 ??? (again!)

I've nearly finished a mission but have one small problem remaining.  The mission is a night raid on a cluster of small buildings in Nogova (map ref Dj21).  However, there's a 5 Gigawatt streetlamp right in the middle, somewhat spoiling my 'daring raid with night vision goggles' scenario.

I got around it by using an artillery script snippet from OFPEC to drop a grenade near it, which seemed to do the job.

But then I placed a trigger to save the game when the player is a short distance from the target area.  If you get killed and resume from this point, the light is back on  >:(.

Is there a more elegant and permanent way of deactivating a light when it is one of the built-in island objects and not one added in the editor (which other posts all deal with)?

Cheers,

Ade

object 1234 switchlight "off"

Obviously get the right number:  click on Show IDs and zoom in.   You may need to Preview the mission and have a look around to be sure you have the right object.   Also check the syntax.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

MacGuba,

Thanks again, although I'm a little embarrassed at how easy that was. ::)

Still, I'm learning.
