You can set the turn and elevation of the turret but ive never really managed to make it not move left or right at all.

Pehaps a little experimenting with the class Turret {}; section may help.

Where do you need this for? Only interrested cause there are/were not many tanks which have a not revolving turret. 8)

There were a few German tanks that didn't like the Jagdpanther, made mainly because they were cheaper to build. And of course there are the self propelled guns like the Brittish Abbot. Besides they wouldn't have to be totally fixed, most SPG's can move the gun a few degrees either side.

More theoritical ideas...

Make the Hull big enough to actaully include the fixed 'turreted' section too.

The TURRET which would control the guns elevation and arc (note most of the SPG's do have a horizontal arc, just very small, Jadgtiger 10 degrees either side of centre)

The TURRET would have the gun on it and would be INSIDE the HULL with just the gun showing, that way all you see when the turret turns is the gun moving, as the hull covers the rest up...

This theory MIGHT work, no garantees
