Building a City on Desert Island
« on: 01 Jan 2004, 10:25:14 »
For a mission I am making I need to build a city from scratch on the desert island and I really have no idea how to do it.  I have checked in the mission editor under objects and camera but the ability to place large buildings seen on other islands are not there.  I know it is possible after playing Hexenkassel as well as a few other DM and CTF missions.  If anyone knows how to do it here please post, it would help me and everyone else out a lot.  Thanks

To place buildings, you'll need Kegetys editor addon.
Look under Empty - Support and you should find a list of builidings, fences, etc...
All the normal OFP buildings can be found there ;)

The mission your making sounds interesting, can we hear more about it? :)
I was going to make a similar type of mission but insted I decided to build it on another island.

Good luck ;)

the squad I am in gave me a good idea to build a very interesting Tank DM.  I am sure it has been done before but I have never played in one, it teaches you to use destroyed tanks buildings and the general terrain to better you chances in combat with other tanks.

Hi, To make large city in editor would create to much lag in game. Use wrpedit to add things to Maps instead if there is gonna be lots objects in mission.
you can d/load a city on desert island, first time I tried wrpedit out myself from http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/royalmarinesdload1/Intro.zip
