Mission end crashes?

Hello peeps.  I was recently inspired to dig out my old (1.0!) copy of OFP: CWC and have a go at making a mission.  Initial frustration gave way to success and I had everything pretty much working as I wanted but I seem to have bent my copy of OFP.  Every time I reach the end of a mission (my one, campaign or single mission) I get the debriefing page, click on `continue' and crash back to the desktop (am running XP).  I've trawled through endless pages of FAQs, readme.txts and the like and can't find anything that suggests what I might do to fix it.  I've tried reinstalling OFP but I'm still getting the same problem.  It's annoying if just doing a single mission because after completing it you have to reload but it's a real problem for my campaign because it crashes before recording you've completed the mission so you never get to advance.  Any suggestions or recommendations for how to mend this and avoid doing it next time I use the mission editor would be very gratefully received.  Tx.

First things first:  head over to the official site and upgrade to v1.46.     I'm not saying that will fix it, but it might help - v1.0 is pretty buggy.    I've no idea what the problem is, but check that your graphics settings for the game and your desktop are the same.    764x1028 or whatever,

Like the good man says, you'll have better luck over on the Official forum.

Both because they know these things better than we do, and because we don't allow OFP troubleshooting questions on our forum. Our mission is to provide the best resource for missionmaking and addonmaking, and one step in accomplishing that has been to only allow mission and addon-editing related questions.

So I'm afraid I have to lock this, I hope you are able to solve your problem.
Upgrading to 1.46 should take care of the problem, but you never know.
