its probably similar to the open/close door animation. It would be a good idea

well what they did was to include the slided position in the zasleh (muzzle flash).

works like a charm.. im making an m11 cobray and i needed to animate the bolt handle on top of the reciever...i also put a plane over my chamber opening that is black so that when it fires it looks as if the bolt is retracting

Is there another method to animate weapon?
i.e How it was made with "mortar" soldier (M16 + grenade)?
I see one model M16 without grenade then loading  animation, then model of M16 with grenade.

If this is possible by proxy or anything we could create other weapon with grenade or realy animated RPG-7 or folding stock animation.

any ideas?

Where do you get the Taiwan Workshop 1911?

How does the selection work? do you just add another slide in the back position and put it in the zeslah selection or somehow save the slides place in zbran and zesleh at the two positions?

Problem with using simple 'zasleh' selection is the original slide stays in place, so it looks kinda dumb as the barrel isn't being exposed, the slide just looks like it's briefly just got a lot longer out the back end.

I'm guessing using animations tied to the 'fire' eventhandler would look better?  Anyone know what the reserved word for the linear translation (as opposed to the rotation animation) animation is?

OTOH, I've used the simpler 'zasleh' selection to cover the bolt texture on an M4A1 with a texture of a retracted bolt, showing the exposed breach with a round being engaged into the bolt face...  in that case the simpler method works pretty convincingly.

Sorry can't add animations and fired eventhandlers to weapons as they dont have a class cfgvehicle
You can add the animations to the unit using the weapon (plane, man, tank etc..)

can make use of the revolving function in weapons and the muzzleflash

modelspecial is used for the grenadelauncher/m16

I was thinking because of the sliding zasleh... wouldnt it be cool to have an invisible weapon that only appears when you fire... or somehow apply that to the whole person... just like halo's camouflage pick-up... mmm halo

I'm on it

and it worked.   email me at gundam010@comcast.net if you want the "predator sniper rifle". Took the stalker I made in a tut and removed zbran and put the things in zasleh.

look at INQ_weaponpack they use cfgvehicle in their M60. It has defined as a car.  8)
