How do I set a trigger when a unit passes an area then suddenly it says "Papa Bear 6: Charlie 6 this is Papa Bear. Bravo 6 needs help. Head to the area on the map and assist them. Out"

Or

" Huey Pilot: Going Stealth "

Something like that so everyone can see it.

hi

if you want papabear to respond with it's name properly displayed then first put this in the init.sqs file in the mission dir:

PAPABEAR=[west,"HQ"];

then you can put this in the trigger's on activation field:

PAPABEAR sidechat "blah blah whatever";

the sidechat will be visible for all west units then

hope this helps

oh and for other units the line can be:

unitname sidechat "blah";

for example, your stealth going huey is called helo1

helo1 sidechat "going stealth";

it will be displayed with his designation (alpha black etc.)

As an alternative to sidechat you can use groupchat, vehiclechat or global chat.   It makes a difference in MP though in SP the only material effect is the different colours of the text.

If you want to change somebody from Alpha Black to say Bravo Green, use the command setGroupId.
