Small aircraft
« on: 02 Dec 2003, 18:57:19 »
hi
would it be possible to make a small aircraft, 2 engine with cargo hold for atleast 16 plus 2 pilot. It is to be used for a parachuting aircraft. Needs to be able to do tops 300 game speed. im not sure what aircraft fits this description. but i notice everyone wants bigger planes, i tried the C-130 but it is to damn big LOL.

it sounds possible just find a plane that fits the bill and a addon maker to make it

There is a twin engine plan in the Finnish Defense Force mod.  I don't think it holds 16 but otherwise it's what you want.  And the whole mod is only 100+ MB :)  But it is definately worth it.

If you don't like the C-130, don't try the AN-124! It can hold more than six squads of men, but it's a nightmare to fly, as it's rolling capability is fairly low. A civilian idea for the jet you need might be a leerjet, it could even be converted to look like a military aircraft, although this would be very Unrealistic

It's a retextured version of FDF's Piper.

I reckon we need more of the small aircraft (preferably STOL) and less of the gigantic ones like the An 124 and C-5. OFP isn't meant for these huge beasts that are unable to land on the short runways on the different island's.

An An-2 Cub would be perfect for the Ruskies and the Resistance.

I think we're going to make a small civilian plane before too long.. no plans yet on what it's going to be.. but I don't think that it will hold more than 3-4 and the pilot.

any suggestions on what planes to think about in that size range.. something like a government agency might use as a small jet to cruise a few people around in
