Winchester 1892 lever-action in progress
« on: 25 Nov 2003, 00:11:18 »
I'm doing a Winchester lever-action rifle. If someone knows how to add black powder smoke to the muzzle flash I would be interested to know if this can be done.

Picture of the work in progress is here

You probably know this,  but the .44 Magnum (according to the pic on your website) was never a black powder cartridge.  There was a .44 Russian  and a .44-40, both of which were blackpowder originally.  The Winchester 1892 was chambered for .44-40.

The Winchester '94 is chambered in .44 Magnum (I own one), among others.  Very nice guns, too. :)

I like the wood grain texture on the rifle.

Sorry, but I can't answer the smoke question.

could be done with some clever use of the drop command I would imagine.. or perhaps darkening/adding to the muzzle flash texture used ..
