Turrets, Tanks and Guns aiming
« on: 21 Nov 2003, 13:44:28 »
Hi there
I'm making a WW2 mission where you have to destroy some artillery positions
I want the turrets on the artillery guns to look up as thought they are targeting something miles away
Is there anyway i can do this without setposing a barrel 1000 feet up and making the gun target it
Thanks  :D

I doubt it.   Anyway, what's wrong with the method you suggest?    As long as the target is far enough away the player won't be able to see it.

Why a barrel? Why not use a gamelogic instead?

You can't target a GL.    I believe there is an invisible target addon somewhere.

Or an invisible H. You can target those I believe.
At least, I think... ::)

Try using the DoWatch command on a position infront and above your guns?
