are you talking about the forests brush?

if so then they look like they are floating in WRPedit

but in the game they are fine

Im talking about the forrests mate, not single bush's or trees, the les_something.p3d....the square (2xtriange) forrest p3d's

they dont line up with the ground

yea, thats what im talkin about.

in WRPEDIT they DO NOT match up with the ground.

in game they DO match up.

i had the same problem, us the brushes then make a beta of your map for the game and go check it out.

your forests will be fine.

Remember to set the forest flag under the pieces of forest you have placed!
NB. You have to place forest pieces directly in the middle of a cell for it to preview correctly. I found that you could in WRPedit put forest sections at any angle or anywhere you loke but when ingame it straightens them all out...

Might try unchecking "fit to ground",then after placing the tree group where you want it,decrement the height by .01
Say it's at 28.75 change to 28.74 or bit less. This will show up in preview as trees being buried as you go up the slope but "In-Game" comes out correctly.

heh, if you cant figure it out before your net goes down i guess you might as well work on other parts of the island until your net is back up.

islands take ALOT of time

U use the wrong trees some, this is already been answered and I don't know now which tree sections u must use but the tree sections u use are wrong, try some other tree sections
If you can't beat them, buy them

Right, I'll just tell you what I done...

i)Double click in the middle of the cell in which you want to place the forest section.
ii)I used the les_ctverec.p3d under the Data3D folder.
iii)Click O.K.
iv)Set forest flags for each cell that a forest section is on.
To do this select the flags TAB, then make sure your in expert mode. Select the cells with forest pieces on them and then select under the section title Forest, then tick forst in the value heading.
iv)Use the pl.paa texture (if using .eden textures) along with the appropraite combination of blending textures...(you know what I mean...)

I think that it...

Hope it helps,

Is using the default button with expert mode ticked wrong for getting forrests to work?

I don't use the default button myself because I know what should be what and if it works properly.  Maybe you should just stick to the default button.

Just replace part iv) with what I said above...

Hopefully this will work...
