Yes... The M14 was from the 50's to the 60's, the M14 wasnt in WW2, the main rifle of the US army was the M1 Garand or M1903 Springfield

ROFL the m16 wasnot intorduced in 1948 whered you get taht idea ???

i think but im not thure that the M14 just missed koriea but they might have used it in the tale end of the conflict a little

The M16 was first Designed and Built in 1948, but didn't enter service untill vietnam, and I got that from Ofp I think, I Know I saw it somewhere, It came out a little after the AK 47 which was built in 1947

Negative,...The M16 was borne out of research that was done in 1948 (By Johns Hopkins University) that came to the conclusion that most combat kills were at relatively close distances...so the military could adopt lighter rifles with shorter range....the research had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the M16 itself,...the M16's development began in the mid/late 1950s,...using this research as a guideline.
