Making .ogg files louder?
« on: 11 Sep 2002, 18:49:35 »
Is there anyway with DB Power AMP to make my ogg files louder? When I use them in Flashpoint they are very quiet, you can hardly hear them, although when I play the standard flashpoint music it is at a different volume...

In the description.ext file, where you list the sounds with all the programmy part... the part in the sound log that says

db +0 blah blah...

Change the db number to a greater one, that is the volume.

Not sure about this but, I think there are some options in windows and or volume control/directx about your "recording" volume. I'll try to find it later. Gotta go right now.

I haven't had much luck with the db increase or decrease thing. I know I have seen a record volume option somewhere. Just not sure where, lol ;D

Edit: Found a bunch of volume control options in Goldwave. I use Goldwave to reord and edit music and sound, then I use dbPowerAmp to convert to .ogg. They both are cool programs.

class CfgMusic
{
tracks[] = { "cs" };
class cs
{
name = "cs";
sound[] = {"\music\cs.ogg", db+50, 1.0};
};
};

Well talking about the DB Power AMP, u won't be able to make the song louder, so i suggest u use GoldWave and change the volume to the one u need  8)
