What Draw Distance do you use?

Hi all,
I'm playing on a sh*tty little GeForce 2 MX, 256RAM, machine, and can barley slide the view distance thingy past 700 without losing performance,
But sometimes I like to push it all the way up to 5000 and just look off the top of a big hill, its amazing! but crunches my pc,

I wanna know if any of you supercomputer guys actually play on or around 5000 and get good frames?
And what spec PC do you use?

yep, I play with 5000 and it looks like a amazing. But it doesen't take such a domestic PC; 2,54 Ghz Pentium, Ati Radeon 9700 and 512mt SDRAM

I'm just about to do a big ole' upgrade to

1 gig ddr2700 RAM,
ATi Radeon 9600
2600 cpu

However, as an expert on crappy computers .... my old one was a PII 400.   I played with viewdistance at about 900 (put it up occasionally when necessary) and everything else set to minumum and it was just about manageable.    Very much looking forward to playing on my new comp, when I get the time to install the game.....
