Activating a unit with a radio trigger.
« on: 22 Oct 2003, 08:13:23 »
How do i create a A10 that is activated and placed on the map once a radio trigger has been...Triggered.
You see once the players have gotten in position with the laser guider and whatnot, i want them to radio in a A10 that just comes flying over and attacking. Now most scripts and other topics about this have been either too much trouble or simply wasn't what i was looking for.
And i know there is a simple answer but i can't for the life of me figure what it is.

Create the A10 and give him a hold waypoint somewhere out of the way.     He'll need other waypoints to get him to the right place and do the right thing.   Now create a trigger

Activation:  Radio Alpha
Type:  Switch

I'm assuming you know how to handle the radio part.     Anyway, he will hang around the hold waypoint until the tirgger is fired and then come in.   Read the tutes in the Ed Depot to learn more about switch triggers, which are one of the most important things in OFP editing.
