Well the Airfield is definately getting better.

I now have both types of Hangers done and have also done the primary work on the control tower.

The control tower is yet to be detailed and is showing what will be a lower lod view at the moment.

*BANG!*
-What was that?
-Oh, just Waterman fainting... ;) ;D

But Seriously, I don't know how you do it... It looks too good for OFP... ;D

P.S. You can send over your hanger models and control tower when it's finished, so I can put them on my island... ;)

Only Joking! But you can if it's O.K. with you...

Cheers,
Waterman. 8)

based on this response I am really looking forward to next week when I put the next batch of pics, that pic above is already out of date.....and I am away for a couple of days so dont ask for more.

The only warning I will give is my 800mhz(256ram) with geforce 2 64mb is starting to complain with this map, it has much more detail than previous maps (mainly as the area is in reality a lot more dense).

From the ground its not too bad as buildings and hedges and woods will block line of sight but in the air be prepared for stutters, also being so close makes for a large amount of death, fast and quick...

Other catch is I am useless at vehicles (so far) and at some point I would like some vehicles done for the map..

These include a Centurion BARV and DUKW, both are based at one of the military sites.  A Grob 109 would be handy (as civlian), although we can do a jury rig arming of the above..

If you don't know what the above are look them up....

Most buildings at the moment will be non-enterable although that may change if I feel like the extra work.

But......

The hangers are already enterable and the Control Tower WILL BE, and yes I just got back.

The hangers ARE NOT big enough for C130's or even the E2C, although this is not surprising as they were built for WW2 Medium Bombers and Fighters.

Also I have no-operational doors yet, I havn't got that far am still very new to modelling and havn't tried scripts yet

I got pested a little so heres a picture of just one of the new buildings, that 5t is parked about as close as you can get.

And heres a pic of part of Fremington, a village to the SouthEast of the Airbase, across the river.
(This is an old pic, but little has changed)

Oh yes I forgot, in the second picute 90% of those buildings are TEMPORARY, and placed before O2 was available

I just realised almost no-one knows what the WHOLE area looks like so heres the map image from wrpedit with a few notes on it..

As you can theres a fair bit of water, and I have even put the deep channels in (its DOES make it difference).

You can also see the northern area of the map has a few valleys in, they are small and relatively tight, and they are mostly wooded sides

I am working on new roads at the moment and will likely put up new pics later in the week.

My new hedging is finalized but suffers from hard placement in wrpedit as they all just dots..
