Dont worry I am still working on it.

A few are already looking at my terrain, and as they have seen there is a lot more to do..

I have found that I have to manually alter the maximum objects in the flashpoint.cfg to 1024, 256 just dont cut it on my terrain..

I could release it as an on-going beta but I reckon its still got maybe 6 months work on it to do..

I presently have 5 others looking at it and I may increase this but I will decide who based on interest shown (honest interest that is)

Consider that I am working from a actaul walking map with all the roads, hedges, contours, and most buildings marked.  This means I cant just place an building becuase it looks good, I have to check the map and its taking a long time as I have to ensure different areas get lined up.

The roads are the worst as some go right across the terrain and to be out just 1 degree really puts it out at the other end so I am taking it slowly in relative terms.

Also some have mentioned the roads.  I hope in time to be able to replace much of what is being placed as the OFP corners are not tight enough and the junctions also need work also I want the roads with markings.

I will see if I can get a pic or two up in few days but I am starting to run short of space on my ftp.

Oh dont forget I am delayed also by lack of O2 as major parts of the base cannot be completed yet..

Don't forget that I am working alone on this at the moment.

Bad News..... :( :(

The website I used has over done its Bandwith limit so all my pics etc.. are down...

This is likely to be like this till next month as finances are tight (unless I manage to get that sorted)

This does not stop me working on the map which as gained 5km of roads and hedges since the last version.

thats bad news m8, good to see your still soldiering on with the terrain tho. :)

if you need a new website get one from freewebs, 100mb free space, 500mb per month bandwidth, no adverts, counters, stats, chatrooms and it's free!

(good pagebuilder too)

My colleague who owned the old site has now changed hosts, a bit more space (20mb to 400mb) and 1gb to 5gb bandwith (old site had 1 gb used in 8 days....WOW).

We are having some fun trying to set it back up as its not as simple a host as we where led to believe.

This aside...

The map is looking a bit more impressive with new hedge work under trials and new hangers now in their postions..

With O2 out I am working aay on the buildings.

The hedging is quite nasty in that its not possible to get over it unless airbourne....

I have seen articulated trucks hit hedges around here and come off worse than the hedge....

There are new problems coming up particulary as I am trying to make it so tanks and the heavier armoured vehicles can go through the hedges but not the lighter kit.
So far I have spent 7 hours working on the hedges and I am not finished yet...

well, no one said it was gonna be easy, i have just about mastered the basic functions of O2, and its taken me about 8 hours of work just to put a minigun on the balckhawk!  :joystick: but its worth it if you do it right!

keep it up mate

[edit]

btw, what is your new url?, the old site is gone...

My site should be back within 48 hours, we have had a change of host and it caused a few problems..but that should be sorted soon.

Oh yes it should be at the old url..

I will also be re-designing my site to emphaise my 2 interests OFP and StarTrek gaming, (I know I could combine the two but not on this forum...)

Ok..

I am not going to re-link the pictures from before (my url changed slightly)

BUT I have new pictures.

Again these are the small images and on my NEW website is the bigger ones (and a few more)

A Hanger with 4 Tornados nestled inside

The Entrance Sign to the Airbase

Which garden is the target in??

All 4 of the Hangers from above

Now you can see that I am still working on the map.

All I will say about this idea of mine is that a certain portion of the terrain will be completly inacurate and will have a few intresting bits...
