change gun sounds

Hey,

Since I've installed Resistance, I feel annoyed by the new M16 sound. I liked the M16 sound of the original game much better so I'd like to export the sound from the original dta\sound.pbo file and put it in the resistance\dta\sound.pbo file.

Anyone know how to do this?

rip both the root sound pbo and the res sound pbo' apart with a de pbo program, copy the relevant file over delete the file you dont want and then re pbo

the pbo decrypters, encrpters are available on this site somewhere

For anyone who would like to try this too, I had the best results with PBODeCryptor15 and MakePBO by Amalfi.
Found at the Editors Depot under Editing tools.

have u ever heard a real m16 , the sound is pretty close, only way louder ;D

I real M16 sounds like what? the CWC sound or resistance sound? If u say the resistance sound it's nothing like it, most 556 rifles sound the same. Moving onto a different game, RvS. has the most unrealistic weapons sounds I've ever heard in a game and yet ubi say they were trying their very best to make the weapons sound like the real tning  . I've never heard a M4A1 sound like machinery, the MP5 sounds like a camera! and the pistols?  ;D For those of u who wish to hear what a 556 rifle sounds like it's very similar to the steyr in DF Land Warrior.
