brain challenges in ofp missions...
« on: 11 Oct 2003, 05:10:00 »
I got one.  I made a mission the other day where the briefing reads:
this is a map of the island.  A civ plane went down and was captured by rebels on the island.  (without any markers) locate the military detention camp using this satellite map.  Then move in to find and rescue any hostages.  Now here's the second challenge.  The camps are completely walled in, so you'll have to use a satchel on the weakest walls to penetrate.  The base has fortified m2 guns on platforms too, its going to be fun.  If one of those four civs die its mission failure.  The only problem is how I get the trigger to say that if the four civs reach the U.S.  camp then the game is won.  Last I heard you just put end1 then go down and put the name of the unit for activated by and keep using the word and for more names.   I could just say kill all the rebels but the focus is on rescuing the people.

You make four triggers, all in the same place...

Each one of the is ativated by one of the civs(Could be group activated, of Civ in thislist...)

Each of the triggers  sets a variable to true...

What all four variables are true, you win...

Josef's suggestion would work, but in fact you can do it with just one trigger:-

Area:  over the base where they all have to be to end the mission
Activation box:   anybody present
Type:   End#1
Condition:    (civ1 in thislist) and (civ2 in thislist) etc

I think that should work.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
