Owen gun
« on: 02 Oct 2003, 12:20:52 »
I have a simple and viable idea for an addon.
It is the Owen gun. The Owen gun was developed in Australia and was used extensivly throughout the 2nd world war. However the main reason I've brought the weapon up, is that it was used by the S.A.S. as their weapon of choice during the early post war years. It was eventually replaced my the budding M16. The Owen gun was notoriously reliable in jungle climates which made it the obvious choice for the Malay conflict where the S.A.S. was re-introduced into the British arsenal.
Now some pics.
Note the magazine which is top loaded.
Also the ejector feeds back into the magazine!
So how's about it?
Anyone wish to have a go at making one?

You planning to make it yourself? S'just WWIIEC will be very interested in this. Long term plans include redoing the Brit pack to include Commonwelth troops....
