editing units?
« on: 23 Sep 2003, 04:53:11 »
Hi,
I want to edit existing units and make new ones from them, like playing around with their skill levels and that sort of thing. How would I do that?

Also,  does anyone know of any russian military cargo plane downloads? I got the antonov but its painted in civilian colors. Or what about a western cargo plane which doesnt require resistance?

Thanks,
Pravit

1. I think there's a set skill command. Dunno really.

2. Dunno, I ain't good at this addon stuff. I would headover to ofp.gamezone.cz (is that the right adress?). The only thing I hate about Gamezones addons is that they got no reviwers so if you're looking for a russian attack plane(like I did) you need to download every attack plane addon until you get what you want.

Oh yeah, remember now, there was actually a russian cargo plane at OFP CZ. The problem is, the author made a Cpp file as if it were a helicopter!!!

As Armsty says, you can move the skill slider when you insert units via the Mission Editor.    However, if you really want to make new units (say with different camouflage settings, then, well, you have to make new units.     This is addon country and I know nothing about it.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Well, the Antonov isn't really a military plane. But it does have a soviet flag on it.

I really don't what you mean.. Do you wnat to copy units over and over after making a single "master copy" or solider. If this is what you want then you can press Ctrl-C to copy that "master solider" and duplicate him by pressing Ctrl-V. Again I don't really know if this si what ur asking or if this has any help to you at all lol  ??? ::)

I knew about the skill slider, what I want to do is mess around with their camoflauge settings and that sort of thing. I've noticed in some addons it says "Based off of (this or that unit) skill levels", etc. Is there an addon forum here? I want to try my hand at reskinning units too.

Anyone know of any good desert camo spetsnaz?

1. Well, you decide that in the config .cpp, you really shouldn't mess with it unless you want to create a whole new addon.

2. Uhm... Yea... ::)

3. Try searching http://ofp.gamezone.cz
