Download the Chris Script Editor. It's the best, you can make briefings, description files, overviews, ammo crates and unit equip(although I don't use that, it's just for lazy ppl who can't write in the init field ;D), and of course, scripts.

Still looking for a dialouge tool... Anybody knows anything about that. Making dialouges is so god d*mn boring. :-\

The starter is

amalfi's unpbo 1.5 so you can look at official and other missions in the editor

kegetys editor addon so you can play with lots more official objects

(both under Artak's links)

And Editors Depot - Tutorials - Getting Started - First Steps

There are several tools of the sort Armsty mentioned ... some people love 'em, personally I hate 'em.     Although they can speed things up when you're learning, they can get in the way of understanding what's really going on and once you're up to speed is usually quicker to work with the mission editor/ other files directly.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

I've downloaded kegety's addons but neither of them have buildings added. Is it just me?

You need to know where to look for them. For some reason, you can find some buildings under empty-objects, some under empty-camera and some under empty-support. No idea why, but that's where they are in my case, anyway.

I downloaded Gunslinger's addon and the now appear under Empty-Support. They also appear under West/East/Resistance-Support. Man is my editor clogged now.
