How to use an outro
« on: 01 Sep 2003, 02:52:08 »
Hi guys, I am a new mission maker, i'm not a professional and I still don't know much, but i'm learning. My mission are OK and i'm hoping to join the ofp community soon.

Anyway, to business.

I just made a cool mission and want to put in a outro, but I can't figure out how to get it in. Could anyone help me?

select outro of the editing screen (click on mission)

outro loose will play after the mission ends by the loose trigger.

outro - win.  plays after mission ends by either of the numbered "end" triggers.

the outro works just like a mission so you can use waypoints, etc.  the only thing is you can't control your player.  as for camera scripting - check the editors depot on this site for good tutorials.

good luck!

Red_Falcon,

In addition to what mikeb said in his post you can also make a script that when the played dies it will use the script created by you - call it a onplayerdies.sqs file for Example....

Im sure this can be classed as an Outro ;D

This may sound stupid, but how do you make an .sqs file?

I suggest u read some of the tutorials in the Ed Depot Red_Falcon knowing how to script allows you to do so much more than using the editor  ;D sorry, if that sounded rude  :P
