Make Large text appear on screen while playing

I was playing my daily round of OFP online, when I was playing a CTF game with some dudes.  And, while the cutscene was going (and while playing) , they were able to type text, and make it appear in the middle of the screen, in the large white text variety.  Also, I knew that the text wasnt supposed to be there, as I have played the map many times before.  I was just wandering how in the world one would go about doing this?  It just seems like a neet little trick to me.  Thanks everyone!

Hi wicked,
   I'm pretty sure you mean when playing MP and a player types a message, but instead of it being small type in white or blue, it's more like Titles in big white letters, right?

  All that is is Direct Speaking ....you access it by changing your CHAT channel using the  " . " key til u get to Direct (purple) then press " / " key to get a prompt.   ;D    
Very important to use SideChat (blue) when you're in a CTF
