Custom music + fadesound

Hey

My fadesound doesn't seem to work . . . I tried it one time when I got pissed off, I just open the ed. and faded the sound through editor and it worked.

Anyways, most of my work is done with custom music . . . and a really annoying aspect is that it does fade out (The music). If I fade it over 5 second, it cuts out after 5.

Shoujld be . . .     LALALAlalalalaaa...............
Is . ..                    LALALALALALALALALALANA

Anyone know what's goin' on here ?

Anyway, I have the same problem. Custom music doesn't fade, it just cuts! Sometimes it will fade, but it'll do it over 0.5 seconds!
Anyone know what's going on and if there are certain settings you have to put custom music to, like a certain db level

I can indeed confirm that fadesound will not work with custom music.

In fact, I can confirm that it won't work with standard OFP music either ;D ;D

Try using fademusic rather than fadesound

Fadesound and Fademusic aren't very reliable for longer fade times.  Sometimes they work right and other times they don't.

I've tried using a loop like this (for an approximately 20 second fade)

_i=.9

#loop
~1
0 fadesound _i

_i=_i - 0.5
?_i>0:goto "loop"

Even this does not prevent a sudden cutoff of the sound all of the time but it seems to work better than "20 fadesound 0"
