UH-1C Gunship

OK how about using the UH-1C as a gunship, it needs dual minigun's and rocket pods, and if your feeling froggy a thumper up front.  (thumper would be a genade laucher)  Use the UH1D Helicopter with Minigun thats floating around as a base all that is needed is a 2nd minigun and the rocket pods.

Are you just giving a hint to people who need a gunship?

Just wait for the SEb Nam Pack 2!

If I may:

Actually, the D model (or H model with the upgraded T 53 L-13 engine after 1967) was used extensively in Vietnam by the Australian and South Vietnamese Air Force.  They were generally armed with the XM-21 system. (M134 Mini-gun mounted on the forward hardpoints with the XM158, -157 or -200 mounted on the rear hard points)
