shooting at an invisible target
« on: 17 Aug 2003, 23:31:03 »
Hi i'm back after all these months. Anyway, just trying to solve a little problem - I want a soldier to continue to fire onto an invisible spot on the ground. So far I've tried "dofire" onto an "invisible h", but it seems that the dofire command will only allow units to shoot onto actual soldiers or vehicles - not objects. I posted a similar problem a while back, and it was suggested that I somehow put a unit that will be fired upon underground and out of sight... Anyone know how I can do that? ???

to sink a unit underground (M2 works well for that trick) put this in its init line:

this setpos [getpos this select 0, getpos this select 0, -X]

where  X = Meters

someone came out with an actual invisible target though If I'm not mistaken ...

 :toocool:
