AI (cross)fire fight

Hi,

For my next mission I want the AI to engage in a firefight which produces
a nice crossfire for the players to walk through.
Problem I'm having is that I don't want certain AI units to target the players.
Their reason for existance is purely for eyecandy.
I'd be satisfied if some units put down a crossfire on some buildings or
even some random points (lets just say they cover a street exit or entrance or someting).
How to go about this?
I've tried the AI making shoot at gamelogics but this doesnt seem to work?
Any help on this would be greatly appriciated!

AI won't target gamelogics.     There is I believe an invisible target addon that somebody made, but I've no idea where.   (Search the forums, somebody might have posted a link.)     The usual way is to hide a target - an M2 MG is popular - either underground or possibly behind a building.   Or maybe get the AI to doTarget and doFire at the building itself, that might work.

To keep the players out of trouble use setCaptive true/false.
