The Hills Are Alive With The Sound Of Magic
« on: 12 Sep 2002, 13:36:49 »
Hey yo. How are well all? What's been happening? Haven't done much round here since the revamp what with all my exams and so forth. But now I'm back in full swing and am here with a question. ;)
I once asked how to make an object in OFP stand at the same angle as the slope of the hill it was on as it would sit as if horizontal. Well now I need the reverse; I need to make an object sit as if horizontally on a sloped hill. Reason being I have a building which I need to whack a Flak 36 onto. :)
Anywhos. Good to be back, nice to see you all again, and thanks in advanced people! 8)
*Watches as the expressions of fear and angst emerge on the moddy's face* "Oh no.. He's back.." :o
YOU DAMN RIGHT I'M BACK ;D

I miss those oddly named thread titles... it brings a tear to my eye, and an odd rumble to my bowels.

So what is it now?  You want an object to lie flat to the hill side, or flat to sea level?  Dont buildings already lie flat to sea level by themselves?

Yeah Icarus I need the thing to sit horizontal to the sea level on a slope but when I place it it automatically assumed the angle slope of the hill it was on.
Please oh please help me cause this is holding me up! Thanks again.

Put in an object, I used some barrels.  Then save and exit, hackthe sqm into a building.  And tadaaaaa.  The building lies flat to sea level.

No. I said object. Object. Can you say object? Let's spell it. O-B-J-E-C-T. Object. Very good! Now then. Object. Not building. Understand?
Actually Icarus you might be onto something with that. I'll place a barrel then hack the squidmeister (sqm) and then replace it with whatever the Flak is called. Thanks!

Dont know about you, but when I place an object, its flat the sea level.  I did it with some barrels on that sheer cliff on the west coast of Malden and they sat flat to the ground.

:beat: Tried that theory of hacking the squidmeister but it didn't work. Yeah I know barrels and most other objects sit flat to sea level but in this particular Flak gun it automatically assumes the angle slope of the hill. >:( Grr! Damn! Well all else fails I can always settle for "static artillery" but it really won't fit the storyline nor will it look at bootalicous. :booty:
