Two animations
« on: 31 Jul 2003, 18:28:19 »
Does anybody know the switchmove to make a unit put his rifle on his back?    I can't use setbehaviour safe because I want the rest of the group to stay aware.

Secondly, is there a switchmove to make a loon give a cheery wave?

Many thanks

For the 'safe' position, it's: "combattostand" if I remember (check the unofficial com ref to confirm spelling... there might be an effect in front of it or something...

As for the second, check out the "fxshowx" range of animations. Most of them are pointing animations, but you might be able to hijack one to make it look like a wave ;)

in addition to combattostand
 There's also

EffectCombatStand

which might work...

for the waving.. I can't really think of anything unless you can write a script that initiates a salute and then interrupts its self if you get what I'm saying

If you switched between the saluting animations quickly

(EffectStandSalute & EffectStandSaluteEnd)

I don't think the first animation would have to be resolved before the second played and this may give the effect of a wave from a short distance

Thanks very much chaps.    I end the shot halfway through FXShow1 and its good enough for government work.    Combattostand works perfectly and I even managed to work out that standtocombat is the opposite.

Whew, glad that's over.    I hate making cutscenes.
