:hmm: a bit of a wierd post, but nevertheless I'll try to help. Well lets think.  ::) houses are on land? And boats are on sea? Land doesent move, Sea does move. Thats why the boat drifts cos its on the sea.

Is the ship starting off empty and then it starts moving, or does it keep moving after the driver is killed? You could try: boat setvelocity [0,0,0], which should stop it. Or, you could say: "boat setpos getpos boat" in a loop.

Yeah.. one thing I've noticed about most of the boats out there... whether BIS made or an addon  ..

they just don't weigh nearly enough....  :P

and this probably helps to contribute to the problem of drifting so much

when Asmo and I have been sinking a whole lot of naval vessels lately playing around with the submarine  and one torpedo to the LST is sometimes enough to lift it out of the water  :o

and if you hit it square in the back end.. it flies off at an insane speed  :P

uhh.. anyways.. to get to your Q   Johan

I'll have to ask you this first..

give me a little more info..... what's  the situation in your mission exactly..

cause I'm sure you we can figger out some weird workaround....

Maybe you're goin for a swim with the CoC doods? and then you want yer boat to be there when you get back?

Am I a good guesser or what?  ;D

I think Barron was on the right track.... but  you could make a trigger .. that looked something like this:

 repeatable

condition: b distance g1 > 1
activation: b setpos [getpos g1 select 0, getpos g1 select 1,0]

;)

make a game logic where you want the boat to be sittin....
name it g1
name the boat b

and whenever the boat is more than 1m away from the gamelogic it should be moved back onto it again ;)
