Has the tutorial supplied on the OFP disk been writing incorrectly? I followed it step by step but the ending where u win doesn't seem to activate.

You must be spelling something wrong. Write out what you have typed in, in your trigger that triggers the win.

There is a typo in the official tute.     I can't remember what it is but - at the risk of self-advertisment - if you get hold of macguba's guide to mission editing for beginners from the Ed Depot it tells you what the typo is and also suggests some other (better) tutorials.

This is the winning trigger

ACTIVATION- End #1
TYPE- endWIN
CONDITION- sy and westcardead and uscaralive

i did exactly as the tutorial said.

btw, you can find the tutorial by exploring the CD and opening the readme file.

how did you get End #1 in the activation menu?

this is what i would set it to:

Activation: none
Type: End #1
Condition: sy and westcardead and uscaralive

then just make sure that all your conditions are being set to true
to do it u could make a trig for each of them like this:
Condition: sy
On Activation: hint "sy is true"

don't forget that to make each condition true you have to have condition = true, like sy = true

I didn't get end #1 in activation, i made a mistake. what i was wondering was what sy was. I think it might be the player's name but that was stated as aP when the unit was created.

You can write "sy" whereever you like, the mission won't end.    There is a mistake in the official tute, so if you do exactly what it says the mission won't work.      You need to write something else.    I can't remember what but its in my tute.

To find the official tute click on

Start - Codemasters - OFP - Readme

and click on the Editor tab.

Edit:   as I recall sy was a variable.

Here is the mission. I have changed the unit from a sniper to an RPG soldier so it would be easier for me to see if it worked.
