Hello,

Can you disable the animation (open) of a door?

I'm talking about the great mapfact barracks..

The reason : I've made a stealth mission and I don't want the player enters the barracks cos when the patrols around the area detect the spetznats, an alarm goes of and the sleeping soldiers leave the barracks and join the patrol. Pretty cool to see the panic...it works great! 8)

In the beginning there are no soldiers in the barracks, I createvehicle them in the barracks when the alarm = true. The first one opens the door with barrackname animate ["component02",1].

When the player opens the door before the alarm goes off he will see there's noone inside, so my Q ...

How can I prevent the player to open one of the doors?

use da animationpashe command 2 check if da door is opened

nd if it is opening just play anim 2 lock it back ;)

nd den disable da triger (just add in cindition field "and not alarm" after ur condtion)

remember 2 set alarm 2 false @ da start ;)

Sounds perfect!
I was thinking about a barackname animate ["component02",0] in a quick loop , but aniimationphase is a better solution.
