Transport Unload prob...
« on: 22 Sep 2002, 12:25:20 »
Okay, here's a BIG prob to me...I don't know about this but.....I haven't been using the transport unload wpt for along time now and i think that, since its been along time.....I have forgotten how to use it :-[. Okay I, know its embarrasing since I'm one of the 'senior' members here (I changed my name for those of you new here...). Right, this is a quick question coz I've got to hurry. The chopper that have the transport unload wpt seems only to unload me and myself (coz I'm the player...). I dunno if its the computer but.....I wanted my whole group to unload too. As the chopper decrease height, it atumatically unloads me but not my members....I was about to but the chopper flew off to reach its other wpt that I set. So could anyone tell me whats going on?

I had the same trouble but i fixed it with a invisible helipad that the waypoint is directly on, and in the transport unload waypoint time boxes to allow enough seconds so everyone gets out before it takes off again
Hope that helps

Have you syncrhonized the chopper's unload trasnport waypoint with the player group's get out waypoint?

The leader of a grp. will always be the man to tell his boys to get out,
and thus, if YOU are the boss inCargo, the game engine awaits YOU to tell the men to disembark  ;)

Now, if you wanna try this out, change player character to a regular trooper
that would show ya that the AI-leader now says "all disembark" or alike  :D :-*

(this is if you're NOT grouped to the chopper, but just "moveincargo" or get in cargo with yer grp.)

------------

PS.
Off course, if you really WANNA be the grp. leader and still want
the whole grp to get kicked out once the bird is on the ground, just
use a bail script that will fire when the bird is at 3-5 mtr's above ground.

I did sync to the get in wpt and I did somehow wanted my men to get out but the thing is, the chooper just kicked me out ALONE and be4 I could even call my men to get out...the chop just lift off and ascend as fast as possible as if there is an enemy tank in front or something and leaving me stranded to fend myself....and anyway.....I used the moveincargo syntax......Funny though, I've used this syntax alot of times in the past and seems that there was no prob and considered myself "The Chopper Tamer".....well, that was last time...if any1 would ever make a manual on how to tame choppers and make them do what you want......
