Cfg Files

I know where pbo files go etc but when you get cfg files with the addons where do you put them.Thx

hmmm... I have never gotten a pbo file where there is a .cfg file seperate from the pbo file, infact, i have never heard of a pbo file that Has a cfg file seperate from the .pbo

You could try emailing the author or you could read the readme file for installation instructions.... ;)

Yes i read the read me but no instructions when i load the game it say i need the cfg file and i had know idea where to put the file thx anyways

  ;)  Hey m8.


The "cfg" is simply a copy of the REAL configuration file for the PBO itself (its inside the pbo, that real cfg). So you can just delete the cfg - it's just a "promo" thingy to ease up the "what do we have here" for everyone.

consider it a secondary "readMe" file of lesser importance  :-*


 :o oh, and the most important thing:

just delete the crap if ya like - it's not to be installed anywhere!  ;) ya ONLY have to install the .pbo file

Yeah, what Tomby said..   :D

That extra cfg is for mission designers to easily find out what custom magazines are defined as, as well as animations.  

IMO, If the .pbo alone doesn't work, the addon sucks and shouldn't be used.   ;)
