Medic

This is an idea that ive had now for absolutely ages!
I feel that in OFP the one thing that really isnt used to the full extent that it should be is the Medics and thier use in the battlefield.
The thing is that the use is all there......the fact that you can go near a medic and get all patched up but unfortunatly the thing is that more often than not in a battle you are dead before you can do this!  :D
Anyway Ive been posting in the forums about a Training Weapon which hopefuly will reduce that amount of power the weapon has, thus giving the medic enough time to run over and save the poor bloke who is shot.
Im wondering if this 'Training weapon' could also be used in this area aswell to train medics.
Id be happy to talk to anyone who feels like they could make this idea happen, and id be open to any suggestions or comments on this idea.
Ive had many a dream about booting it over the battlefield in a Medical M113 to a casualty who is lying there and then patching him up!
Make it Happen!
Cheers

Hey!   :)

Sounds pretty cool, I've heard of people making medic missions but never played one.  (or seen one completed for that matter)

One thing that would definately go well with this idea is the OFPEC Blood script!

Especially the damage option where they bleed to death if you don't get there soon enough!  Could really add to the challenge IMO for the type of mission you are thinking of.  (you could even have a difficulty setting choice at the beginning with the easy version having that option disabled)   ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys!  :)
Asmo - Yeah thats a great idea about incooperating it with the blood script! (I LOVE that script!)
And the damage option would work great aswell, and it would give the medics some kinda time frame to work to.
Without getting too complex ive had visions of a pop up or other menu displaying the type of wound and whereabouts the individual was hit and then maybe a choice of options for the medic to take.  It does sound a bit complex for something that doesnt really need to be!
I just think that the Medic trait could be exploited more than it is at the moment, and use of the M113 ambulance and any other medical evacuation vehicles could be broadened.
I like the idea of a wound too heavy to be cured on the battlefield and the casualty being evacuated by Air or M113!
Anyway id like to hear more from the community about this as im thinking of starting some form of 'Mod' for this idea as personally I think that it would be a excellant addition to an already fine game.
Tell me what you all think!
cheers

That would be cool to incorporate a tagging script that gives statuses of people depending on their wounds

"This man is red tagged" - Highest Priority

"This man is yellow tagged" - Critical but can hold

"This man is black tagged" - Dead or cannot be saved

remember to add:

"This man is lying still" - Dead

"This man has no limbs" - Wants to be dead

"This man has no head" - At a guess, i'd say he's dead
