I'm new to editing, and I have found that the template that came with the game was a great starting point. Are there any more out there? I know that there are a few in the mulitplayer side of things, but are there any available for single player?

Hey Black Fox!

If you're new to the forums as well... Welcome to the forums!   ;)

I know how it is to start out and I highly suggest Macguba's Guide to Mission Editing for Beginners

All you have to do is click on Editor's Depot up there ^^^  And then go to the Tutorials section on the left hand side, then getting started.   8)

Hope that helps ya!  All those tuts are very good!

Thanks Asmo,  your cheque's in the post.   ;D

Black Fox, I also created a Tutorial Mission which sounds like its exactly what your looking for.    It's in the Editors Depot - Tutorials - Getting Started - Simple Example Missions.

Have a look at snYpir's OFPEC Guide: Making missions as well.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

btw... when you get a little better at mission editing and want to improve your missions, also start to learn how to script camera's etc. SnYpir's camera tute is a great place to start, and then my camera.sqs tutorial lets you make more advanced cutscenes.

just look around for the wealth of info we have :D and don't be afraid to aski (except asking Tomb... he might scare you a little  ;) )
