Mission End Statistics - Exported Mission
« on: 02 Jun 2003, 10:42:45 »
My question is regarding the statistics screen you get at the end of missions, telling you how many "kills" you achieved etc etc...

When previewing a mission, I get the statistics screen when I am killed... But once the mission is exported to "single missions" I no longer get the summary statistics at the end...

I have searched the FAQ and haven't found the answer.

I figure it must be REALLY basic as it is not discussed.

What am I missing ?

I don't think it's that basic .... it's certainly a bit odd.     If you have a description.ext there is a line

debriefing =  1

If it's set to 0 that may be causing it, have a check.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

hmmm.... its very unlikely any example description.ext would have it set to 0, and i never add lines like that now, because they are auto to what the player specified in his options.

I have a desciption.ext, but no reference to the debriefing flag (that I recall...)

I will add this in (good advice) when I get home and give it a shot.

Thanks,

Whoa!  Does that really fix this?

I always thought you just couldn't see the stats unless you beat the mission after it's exported to SP!!   :o  (glad you asked rodent!)   ;)

I always thought the debriefing was shown only when an ending trigger fired. When you die ingame, other scripts like "onplayerkilled.sqs" (or something like that) is called and just loops a camera movement.

Yes, I haven't beaten the mission after exported to SP.
I have a trigger that ends if player dies...
I have the description.ext debriefing=1 as well...

Perhaps you are right about having to beat the game first...

Yes... I can confirm this.

You will not get a debrief if the player dies. You also won't get to see any outros (win or loose)...

Can be a bit of a pain sometimes, say if you wanted to have the loose outro play if the player died... :P
